All former graduates at Advanced Diploma level are eligible for upgrade to Bachelor of Theology according to the schedule advised to us by the National Council of Higher Education.
It is the decision of the National Council for Higher Education, in consultation with the UBS Academic Senate, that all graduates of UBS with an Advanced Diploma will be credited with years 1 and 2 of the approved Bachelor Programme and will be eligible to complete year 3 of the programme and progress to an award of a Bachelor of Theology.
In practical terms this means that students wishing to upgrade will be required to complete terms 9, 10, and 11 of the current bachelor programme.
We understand that this changes the previous understanding that you had when you graduated with the Advanced Diploma. Please note that this these requirements are out of our hands and have been mandated by the NCHE.
A number of current bachelor classes are completing their courses, offering a variety of dates for upgrading students to choose from. You can consult the calendars on our website to find your dates: 2023 Calendar.
If you wish to take advantage of this opportunity please contact the Registrar, Mrs. Rebekah Lockhart at r.lockhart@ugandabaptistseminary.org and register for your upgrade class. Do not attend classes at UBS without doing this. An application form is not necessary for upgrading students.
